eThekwini Municipality 2022 Storm Disaster Call for Resources

An unprecedented degree of infrastructure damage was suffered during the recent storms.

Several organisations, private companies and other cities have reached out and helped in implementing the infrastructure repair and response plans.

Additional resources for specific areas in the City's Built Environment Response efforts would be much appreciated.

Areas of work where assistance is needed include:

1. Inventory of damage (Describing and logging the damage by area, type and extent of damage)
2. Prioritisation of response (Determine Urgent and important tasks to be tackled first. Professional assistance with reading & classifying  the damage reports)
3. Technical work specification & engineering designs
4. Project implementation of engineering works. (includes civil, electrical, mechanical etc. engineering work as repairs are implemented.)
5. Project and Contract management resources in implementation stage to assist in supplementing the City's resources.

Equipment

Any equipment that can be made available. (Includes TLBs, Tipper Trucks, Loaders, Excavators - 10m3)

Social Relief needed: Food hampers, Water, Clothing, Sleeping matresses, Hygiene pack
